BEAR GIFT PROGRAM
A GIFT TO YOUR BEETHOVEN BEAR!
The Friends of Beethoven Booster Club is a parent-run, 100% volunteer-powered, 501(c)3 non-profit organization that raises money to fund programs at Beethoven Elementary School that are not funded by LAUSD. The Bear Gift Program (formerly known as The Annual Give) is money donated by members of our Beethoven community to ensure that our school continues its amazing programs and has the necessary resources for every Beethoven Bear to thrive.

While many neighboring schools have a recommended annual donation of $1,500 per student, Beethoven Elementary focuses on participation over amount.
Our goal is simple: We hope every family will take part in the Bear Gift Program—at any level that feels right for them.

What is your favorite thing about teaching art at Beethoven?
“My favorite thing about teaching art at Beethoven is seeing my friends grow. I meet friends when they are in kindergarten and they just start learning how to control a pencil and the next thing I know their art is getting into shows. Which is something I try to do is give everyone opportunities. And you see they have a better understanding and the joy and happiness they find in making something beautiful.”
Given that art class is sponsored by Friends of Beethoven, how important are parent contribution and support to the art program?
“Our school really depends on its parents to do anything and art is a platform that allows children a place to grow and express themselves that is not just academic and that is what the art program offers. It would not exist without the FOB and we are very lucky to have parents who are here to support. Any parent who contributes to FOB is providing that support and benefits all of the students, all the way from TK through 5th grade.”
