FITNESS CHALLENGE
Raise money for our school while your Beethoven Bear participates in fun exercise challenges! Each grade does the challenge during their psychomotor class time.
Save the date! This year’s Fitness Challenge will take place on Friday, March 20 during the school day!
This is a particularly special event because it’s one of the few fundraisers where our kids are the ones working to raise money for our school. Plus, our Beethoven parents are encouraged to be on campus to support their kids if they are LAUSD-approved volunteers.
Remember to turn in your 2026 Fitness Challenge Pledge form to your teacher or the main office by Friday, March 20th.
This is a fun and healthy way to support our school!
Fitness Challenge Volunteers
We need LAUSD-APPROVED volunteers to help with set-up, work stations, passing out water and popsicles, and breakdown/clean-up of the event.
We need volunteers from 7:30AM-3:30PM.
To become a volunteer, you need to start your LAUSD volunteer application. Be sure to select the “Tier II” volunteer level when applying. This tier will cover field trips, as well as helping at on-campus events like the Fitness Challenge and BearMania.
Become a Fitness challenge volunteer!
Sign up to help for part of the day or the entire event! We welcome all volunteers to join us and make this fundraiser a success.
Note: You must be an approved LAUSD volunteer to help on the day of the Fitness Challenge.

PLEDGES
INCENTIVES
- Help your kids get pledges. We have a GoFundMe page created for this fundraising event as well as a hard copy pledge form you can pick up from the main office, via your room parent, or print the Fitness Challenge Pledge form directly. Share with your community to gather as many pledges as possible!
2. Corporate Matching Gifts. If you work at a company that offers corporate matching gifts, this could be a great fundraiser to utilize this opportunity! This is also a great way to help our neighborhood school fund its incredible programs.
3. Remember to log ALL donations (cash/check/GoFundMe) on your pledge forms. Make sure you turn in all forms to your student’s teacher or the main office by Friday, March 20. If you don’t record the pledges, your teacher and class will not get credit for your donations!
1. Each pledge enters your teacher into a drawing! The winning teacher will receive a special gift card courtesy of Friends of Beethoven.
2. Each child who wears Bear-Wear to the Fitness Challenge will receive a participation prize.
3. The class with the most pledges gets an extended period of recess!
4. By participating, you are supporting our Friends of Beethoven programs, which focus on the holistic well-being of your Beethoven Bear! Plus, it’s so much fun to be active with your student and our community for a good cause.
